New Year's Resolution Fact or Fiction

How many of us have made wonderful New Year’s Resolutions and then after about 2 to 3 months we give up. Why? “ Oh, it is either too time consuming, or it is not working,” and my favorite is, “my family requires more of my time. I have never been able to figure out where those extra hours are suppose to be. For me, resoluations are like contracts, make sure you check out the “Polices & Procdures” very throughly. Is your health being covered correctly? How is your work attitude? For that matter how is the pay? If it isn’t one thing, it is another. We are constanly bombarded with so called “this will fix it, or this will make your day be so much better.” What happened to common sense? How can we succeed? By sharing or following our New Year’s Resloutions? If you need to put it on paper in order to stay on top of your dreams, then do so. They can be taylored to our capabilities, our strengths or they can show us the next level by just seeing where we are. Those who do not know their past are bound to hit replay. Acccount ability is very easy to over look when things are rolling along, but when the road hits a bump or two what are you suppose do? Quit? No! Go back to your New Year’s Resolutions. Adapt your dreams to keep moving forward. Remember that this is a long distance road trip, not a couple of laps around the track .

525,600 minutes. How do Measure a year, Measure a year in your life. 2010

525,600 minutes. How do Measure, Measure YOUR life.

There are 525,600 minutes in a year! The song says “How do you measure a life; in sunsets, in cups of coffee, in inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife? How about LOVE!”

2009 is almost over. How have you spent your minutes? Did you give it your all? Did you love with your whole heart? Did you reach toward your dream? If you didn’t, it’s not too late!!

A new decade is minutes away. Some see 2010 as a new season, a change in the direction of their lives. Some have placed hopes and dreams in the newness that is to come. I am reminded of the moments and the minutes that constantly tick by. I am reminded that we should appreciate each of one of them. There is no need to wait until January 1, 2010 to begin anew! Start this instant, this moment, and this minute.

Let’s not waste another minute being consumed by our senseless circumstances. Let’s forgive others as well as ourselves. Dream and push toward the fulfillment of them! And most of all LOVE! God is love and HE loves us! His love reaches to heaven! You can do it too! Love unconditionally. Hug your child a little tighter and kiss your mate a little longer. Volunteer where help is needed. Give without wanting. Make a new memory! Reach out to an old friend, let go of grudges, skip, smile, laugh or whatever it takes for you to release the inner stirrings that have been holding you back. Treasure your life. Treasure your minutes, your moments and as always… push forward!
